we are glad to inform you that on Monday 21th November, at 11a.m, the Open Day for the EUROAVIA Airbus Sloshing Rocket Workshop competition is going to take place.🚀
The team Ad Astra Forlì, which achieved the 2nd place last year in Terrassa will give you an insight about this challenging workshop with a brief presentation.
During the event some of the rocket’s components recovered after the last launch will be shown, first of all the tank for the sloshing payload.
There will also be a presentation about all the software used during the workshop
-Ansys (geometry and meshing of the tank)
-openFOAM (CFD simulations)
-XFLR5 (aerodynamics)
-Arduino (electronics)
-AutoCAD (CAD design of the rocket)
-MATLAB (flight mechanics)
Be careful: we are considering to arrange a local workshop to teach future members and participants how these programs work (mainly Ansys and openFOAM).
During the open day we’ll ask your opinion about this. We may even decide to hold it or not based on the feedback received so don’t miss this opportunity!!
